Peering Into the Shattered Soul of a Broken Bull
Folks walk past on the city streets. They stare. They judge. They talk. 'Who's that guy?' 'Look away, before you make him mad; he'll probably crush you if you stare.' People think I'm a brute. They think I'm a tickin' time bomb. They think they know exactly what kind of person I am. But they don't know me. They don't know a thing. Who am I? Who wants to know? Strangers? I don't care. Nobody needs to know a thing 'bout me. I don't need nobody on my side. I don't want nobody on my side. The more you have, the more you have to lose. And I'm not gonna let that happen. Family? Friends? Loved ones? What a joke. People believe in the power of love. People think love makes them strong; that love shines light through the darkness. Love blinds us. Love weakens us. When ya let yerself fall victim t'love, ya become vulnerable. Ya open yerself up t'be hurt, t'be taken advantage of, t'be destroyed. People wanna make assumptions 'bout me? People want to write me off as a brawn-over-brains
So, about Pokemon X and Y... by Leatherhead64, journal
So, about Pokemon X and Y...
I had a lot of fun making my most recent submission, the one with the team I beat Y with for the first time, 10 years after the game released. However, as I indicated in the description of said submission, I have some very strong feelings about X and Y. And they are not positive ones. As a result, I've spend the last 2 days writing this 16-page essay delving into the narrative decisions (and a little bit of the game design) and why I disagree with basically all of it. But for anyone who'd like to discuss it, feel free to leave a comment. I'm always happy to talk about stuff like this.
